This position sits within a high-performing Commercial Shared Services team and offers the chance to play a pivotal role in the end-to-end contract lifecycle across a diverse and growing project portfolio.

About the Role

The Contracts Specialist will be responsible for the review and analysis of commercial contracts, tenders, and subcontracts across multiple business units. Working closely with General Managers, Construction Managers, and senior stakeholders, the successful candidate will ensure all contracts are aligned with legal, operational, and commercial standards.

Key Responsibilities

Review and interpret commercial contracts, tenders, and subcontractor agreements

Identify and advise on key risks, obligations, and opportunities

Prepare clear summaries and recommendations for senior leadership

Support pre-contract negotiations and bid submissions with commercial insight

Collaborate with legal and operational teams to ensure contract compliance

Assist in refining internal contract review procedures and documentation

Remain up to date on legislation, regulations, and industry best practices

What We're Looking For

Previous experience in a Contracts Specialist, Commercial Advisor, or Contracts Administrator role

Strong understanding of Australian contract law, particularly within construction or engineering

Ability to communicate complex terms clearly to both commercial and project stakeholders

High attention to detail, with strong analytical and written communication skills

Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities

Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with contract management systems will be well regarded
