Successful candidates will have a proven ability to provide expert policy advice to a range of stakeholders, ideally within government.

Multiple roles are available for an immediate start through to December 2025, based in Mascot with flexible hybrid working arrangements.

The Job…..
In these high level Policy Advisor and Specialist roles, you will be responsible for:

• Lead policy development, implementation, and review to improve outcomes.
• Provide expert, timely advice to support departmental decision-making.
• Conduct research and analysis to inform evidence-based policy.
• Monitor and evaluate policy impacts for effective service delivery.
• Draft reports, briefs, and correspondence on key issues.
• Maintain systems and processes for efficient team operations.

You…..
To be successful in this role, you must have experience in the following:

• 2+ years of government experience in policy development and implementation.
• Experience engaging with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander policy areas will be highly regarded.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret data and provide evidence-based advice.
• Effective problem-solving skills to address challenges during implementation.
