Project Officer – NSW Government

• Pay Rate: $500 - $550 per day + Super
  
• Location: Mascot + WFH (Hybrid - 3 days in office)
  
• Assignment Length: Anticipated until 17th January 2026 with potential to extend
  
• Hours: Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week
  

A NSW Government agency is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Project Officer with Governance experience to support the delivery of governance-related projects and initiatives aligned with the agency’s strategic priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and support a variety of governance initiatives and projects across the agency.
• Provide secretariat support to the Trust Board, ensuring effective operation and strategic alignment.
• Facilitate meetings, working groups and planning cycles to drive decision-making and organisational effectiveness.
• Conduct research and analysis to support governance reporting, compliance, and strategic planning.
• Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships to ensure timely delivery of governance functions.
• Contribute to internal reporting, policy development, and broader project coordination across the agency.

About You:

• Proven experience in project coordination or governance-related roles within the public sector or similar.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Highly organised with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
• Experience supporting governance frameworks and reporting functions.
• Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
