Store Operating Hours: 3:30 am to 6:30 pm, 7 days a week, 365 days a year
Employment Type: Full-Time, 38 hours per week
Roster: Agreed regular roster of 38 hours with 2 consecutive days off (need to work weekends)
Store Locations Covered: Hillcrest, Geebung, Chandler, Hope Island, Kingston + expanding

Role Duties
As a Taste My Bean Area Manager, you will be an essential support to the business across multiple stores. Your role is hands-on, people-focused, and pivotal to ensuring operational consistency and high standards. You’ll work closely with upper management, store leaders, and team members to drive quality and performance across locations. Key responsibilities include:
Lead and manage the café team to ensure smooth daily operations and exceptional customer service.
Support and develop staff through ongoing training and mentorship, ensuring adherence to company standards.
Collaborate with upper management on projects and initiatives to maintain consistency across locations.
Conduct regular safety and compliance checks to ensure all stores meet health and safety standards.
Promote clear communication and a positive team culture, fostering a respectful and supportive environment.
Handle reporting and administration efficiently, ensuring accurate documentation and follow-through.
Ensure adherence to established company policies and procedures, maintaining a consistent and compliant environment across all locations.
Working Hours and Availability
This role is full-time across five days (38 hours per week), with two consecutive days off on a set agreed roster.
While this role is rostered as full-time, Area Managers must have occasional flexible availability across seven days and be contactable for infrequent but urgent situations such as equipment breakdowns, sick calls, or emergencies outside of rostered hours.
You may be contacted occasionally after hours or early mornings (e.g. 3am) for urgent issues. While this is not frequent, it is part of the reality of leading a multisite hospitality operation.
We will always do everything we can to maintain a healthy work-life balance, and any changes to the regular schedule will only occur in exceptional circumstances.
Compensation
This role is classified under Level 5 of the Food and Beverage stream within the Restaurant Industry Award 2020.
The salary package is based on the agreed roster and responsibilities and ranges from $70,000 to $80,000 annually.

Must-Have Requirements
Minimum 2–3 years of barista experience using manual espresso machines.
Prior leadership experience in cafés or hospitality.
Valid Australian driver’s licence to be able to travel between store locations
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work autonomously and handle multiple responsibilities.
Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20kg.
Basic computer literacy.
