About the role
As the Warehouse 2IC at Garlos Pies', you will play a crucial role in supporting the efficient operation of our busy distribution centre in Kingsgrove, NSW. This is a full-time position that will see you assist the Warehouse Supervisor in overseeing all aspects of warehouse activities, from inventory management to order fulfilment.
What you'll be doing
Deputising for the Warehouse Manager in their absence and helping to coordinate the day-to-day warehouse operations
Supervising and motivating the warehouse team to ensure productivity and quality targets are met
Monitoring inventory levels, identifying and resolving any stock discrepancies
Overseeing the receiving, storage and dispatch of goods in a timely and accurate manner
Identifying opportunities to improve warehouse processes and implementing operational efficiencies
Ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety and quality standards
Providing training and development support to warehouse personnel
What we're looking for
Significant experience (5+ years) working in a warehouse or logistics environment, ideally in a supervisory role
Strong planning, organisational and problem-solving skills with an ability to multitask and work under pressure
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to lead and motivate a team
Proficient in the use of warehouse management systems and inventory control software
Forklift license and experience in operating warehouse equipment
Understanding of inventory management practices and warehouse safety protocols

In May 2013, the Garlick family moved their Head Office and Bakery to a brand new, purpose built 1350sq. metre facility in St. Peters Sydney. coincidentally the new home of Garlo's is only 900 metres from their old site in St. Peters where they lovingly made their pies since 2001. the new baking facility has a current capacity to produce over 4500 units an hour, but also flexible enough to custom manufacture any pastry product you may desire.
From April 2014, Garlo's Pies are now available across Queensland
