St Peter’s Anglican College is on the South Coast of NSW in the beautiful seaside village of Broulee. Broulee Beach is just 600m from the front gate. The College is a growing and vibrant P-12 Independent school. The College has seen dramatic growth over the last 6 years with accompanying new facilities. The final stage of the master plan will open in Term 3 with two court Indoor Sports Centre and Performing Arts Centre, including a recording studio. The Junior School runs two specialist programs – Bush School in Year 3 and 4 and Marine School in Year 5 and 6.

The College is seeking to employ a skilled and passionate Junior School Teacher to join the Bush School program in a Year 4 classroom. The initial contract will be a 6-month maternity leave contract for 6 months (Term 3 and 4 2025).

Key Selection Criteria

The successful applicant for the above position must be able to provide evidence to support the following criteria:

A passion for teaching the whole child but still focussing strongly on numeracy and literacy.

An ability to take learning into the outdoors and be able to stimulate the joy of learning in their students within the Bush School focus.

Demonstrate an understanding of how students learn and effective classroom teaching strategies.

Capacity to work as a team with colleagues and leaders to continually improve teaching and learning.

Be able to positively manage the classroom environment and culture.

A willingness to connect with a very supportive parent and local community.

Demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills, critical analysis and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

Appropriate teaching qualifications and NESA accreditation.
