About the role
St Anthony's Catholic College, Deeragun is seeking an experienced and dedicated School Officer - Administration Industry Liaison Officer to commence 14 July 2025 or as soon as practicable. This is a part-time, fixed-term contract position completing 19.5 hours a week, 3 days. with the contract to commence in 14 July 2025 and conclude 19 April 2026.
The School Officer – Administration is responsible for providing high-level administrative support demonstrating a high level of self-initiative, flexibility, attention to detail, autonomy and dependability.
The School Officer – Administration will be required to liaise with visitors, parents, staff and students to the College. The incumbent will present a professional image and create a welcoming, warm and positive impression. As the initial point of contact for many key stakeholders, the School Officer - Administration will deliver high-quality customer service.
Key Accountabilities
The School Officer – Administration's typical duties include, but are not limited to:
Supporting the delivery of operational tasks associated with reception and administration including:
Assist with Parent and Student Reception
Mail management and distribution
Responding to incoming telephone and email enquires
Dealing professionally with and directing enquiries of parents, visitors and contractors
Data entry to support registers and record management.
Providing administration support that meets the day to day requirements of the school including:
Co-ordinating dissemination of information to staff and students.
Production of documents – letters, registers, spreadsheets.
Assisting in the production of internal and external documents.
Sorting preparing and filing documents as required.
Assist with Organisation and Coordination of Work Experience Program.
Assist V.E.T & Careers staff with Vocational Training, Apprenticeship and Traineeship queries and coordination of such activities
Liaise with Industry Professionals to assist with Student Placement and Work Experience
Assist with Marketing Events, Open Days and Expos as required.
Assist with site visits when students are on Work Experience.
Supporting the delivery of tasks associated with community events and school functions.
Administering first aid where necessary.
Skills
Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and embrace new ideas with enthusiasm
Strong computer literacy skills with the ability to operate a variety of platforms and programs including Google and Microsoft Office (especially excel spreadsheets)
Organisational planning and coordination skills including the ability to demonstrate flexibility and manage demanding or competing deadlines.
Experience
Previous experience providing generalist administrative support
Demonstrated capacity to organise and prioritise a range of tasks and set priorities to meet deadlines in a busy office environment
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team to deliver support
Proven ability in providing accurate and informative assistance to staff, students and parents confidently.

Mandatory Criteria
Current Working with Children Suitability Card - The successful candidate will require a paid Blue Card before commencement as per the No Card, No Start policy developed by Queensland Government
Minimum certificate level or higher qualification or equivalent relevant experience
Current Driver’s Licence
Ability to perform the physical requirements of the role in a safe manner.
First Aid certificate or the ability to attain one.
Desirable Criteria
Recent administration and/or reception experience in a school or other environment.
