With a strong focus on quality, consistency, and innovation, our client is entering a transformative growth phase and presents a rare opportunity for an experienced Financial/Management Accountant to support the next stage of its evolution.

About the Role

As the Financial/Management Accountant, you’ll be a key member of the leadership team, supporting decision-making, profitability, and scalability. This is a hands-on role where you'll collaborate directly with the Directors and work across teams to align commercial strategy with financial operations. You’ll also play a critical role in driving cost efficiency, ensuring compliance, and delivering clear, accurate insights that influence strategic outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Analysis

Prepare monthly financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)

Analyse trends, identify risks, and report on financial performance

Responsible for all required reconciliations across the business

Budgeting, Forecasting & Decision Support

Develop annual budgets and rolling forecasts

Provide insights to support strategic business decisions

Conduct profitability analysis of stores, products, and services

Cost Management & Controls

Identify cost-saving opportunities through detailed analysis

Monitor KPIs and implement cost control strategies

Maintain and enhance internal controls

Compliance & External Liaison

Ensure compliance with ATO, ASIC, SRO, and other regulatory obligations

Liaise with auditors, tax agents, and legal counsel as required

Team Oversight

Manage AR/AP, payroll and reconciliations across multiple platforms (POS, bank feeds, delivery apps)

Lead and support junior finance/admin team members

About You

Degree in Accounting/Finance (CPA, CA, MIPA or APA preferred)

3–5+ years’ experience in financial or management accounting

Strong financial modelling and Excel skills

Familiarity with accounting software (e.g. Xero, MYOB, or similar)

Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-site business environment

High attention to detail, initiative and commercial awareness

Experience in the retail, food, or hospitality sectors will be highly regarded.
