About the Role

As the Management Accountant, you’ll oversee core financial operations, including reporting, compliance, budgeting, and cash flow. Working closely with senior management, you’ll support strategic decision-making and process improvements while ensuring regulatory compliance and system integrity. You’ll also liaise with external auditors and lead coordination across AP, AR, credit, and inventory functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the annual budget process and monitor performance;
• Provide financial analysis and timely support to management;
• Champion process improvements, particularly around inventory controls and financial systems;
• Support broader business functions through ad hoc projects and reporting;
• Oversee financial transactions and ensure compliance with policies and regulations;
• Ensure month-end close, journals, accruals, and general ledger reconciliations are completed accurately;
• Maintain and enhance financial and administrative systems, including rebates, claims, and inventory;
• Review and manage the fixed asset register;
• Prepare and present monthly reports to HQ;
• Support external audits and regulatory compliance requirements, including BAS, payroll tax, and FBT data; and
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash flow forecasting.

What We’re Looking For

• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CA/CPA highly regarded);
• Experience within Manufacturing highly desirable;
• Experience using BC 365 system;
• Excellent organisational and communication skills with strong attention to detail;
• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment;
• Proficiency in accounting systems and intermediate to advanced Excel skills; and
• Experience in inventory controls and budget preparation is desirable.
