Role Overview

As part of our Engineering, Procurement and Construction team, you will take the lead role in project tendering through to the commissioning stages of various projects from the water and waste water treatment industry. These projects include, but are not limited to the construction of new and / or upgrades to existing:

Water and sewerage treatment plants

Pump stations and pipelines

Dewatering equipment

This senior position also requires the ability to guide and mentor other members of the team to achieve a successful outcome for all whilst meeting client expectations and aligning to engineering standards.

The successful candidate will either currently reside in Mackay, Queensland or be willing to relocate.

Relocation assistance available if required. Candidates must be legally permitted to work in Australia.

Key Responsibilities

Submit proposed solutions to clients by way of quotation or tender within deadlines and to standard

Review client expectations including OH&S, QA ad contractual obligations

Negotiate with clients and stake holders at all levels to achieve a positive tender award / contract

Work with drafting resources to develop quality engineered drawings to approved specifications

Assist the Project Manager with procurement, design and detail, resource allocations, site communications, QA implementation, commissioning and hand over to the client.

Develop documentation including quality plans, inspection and testing procedures, inspection methods and handover materials as required by the contract

Eligibility

Hold an Engineering qualification - Degree in Mechanical or Chemical fields preferred

Hold a current driver’s licence

Experience in tender submissions, processes and contractual obligations

Experience within the pumping / water / waste water / filtration industry is an advantage
