About the role

FGI Developments is seeking a talented Civil Engineer to join our team in Cairns, Queensland. As a Civil Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the planning and delivery of our diverse range of construction projects. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work on exciting developments that will shape the future of the local community.

What you'll be doing

Conducting site inspections, assessing project feasibility, and identifying potential challenges or risks

Liaising with relevant stakeholders, such as clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities, to ensure project compliance and successful delivery

Performing engineering calculations, analysis, and modelling to support the decision-making process

Monitoring project progress, troubleshooting issues, and implementing effective solutions

Contributing to the development of innovative and sustainable engineering practices

What we're looking for

Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a civil engineering role, preferably in the construction or development industry

Proficient in the use of civil engineering software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Bentley

Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to think creatively and propose practical solutions

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams

Familiarity with relevant Australian standards, codes, and regulations

Commitment to delivering high-quality work and a strong attention to detail
