Position: HR Systems Consultant

Location: Fortitude Valley

Pay Rate: $50/hr - $65/hr + super

Contract: Mon – Fri

Maxima is currently seeking highly motivated individual for HR Systems Consultant for a People and Capability – People Services Team for one of our local government clients.

Primary Role Purpose: In this role, you'll provide expert functional support and optimisation of our Workday HCM system, working alongside passionate professionals committed to improving the employee experience across the organisation.
You’ll collaborate with stakeholders to identify business needs, design smart solutions, lead system configurations and updates and champion innovation in HR technology.

In this role, you will:

• Provide subject matter expertise on Workday HCM and drive system improvements
• Conduct business analysis, define requirements, and design user-friendly solutions.
• Lead system testing, upgrades, and issue resolution to ensure optimal performance.
• Partner with internal teams and vendors on support, enhancements, and data integrity.
• Identify automation opportunities and support change management activities.
• Maintain documentation and contribute to HRIS roadmap and process optimisation.
• Maintain knowledge of contemporary waste management practices, market trends, technologies, and processes to inform strategic initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience:

• 3–6 years’ experience in Workday HCM and HR systems.
• Strong capability in business process mapping, systems analysis, and data management.
• Exceptional communication skills and a collaborative, customer-focused approach.
• A mindset for growth, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR, IT, or related discipline (preferred).
• C Driver’s Licence
• Police check (willing to get one)
