We are currently seeking a Workshop Technician to join our Queensland operations based in Coopers Plains. This is a hands-on, workshop-based role focused on battery assembly, charger preparation, and warehouse support. You’ll be part of a close-knit team working to deliver quality and reliability for our customers across the state.

About the Role

This role involves assembling and preparing industrial battery systems in accordance with IBA’s safety and operational standards. You’ll be responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, prepping equipment for dispatch, and contributing to the smooth operation of the workshop.

Your key responsibilities will include:

· Building and rebuilding industrial battery packs following IBA standards and SOPs

· Preparing battery chargers for dispatch, ensuring correct setup and labelling

· Managing stock levels to avoid shortages or excess inventory

· Keeping the workshop and warehouse area clean, safe, and well-organised

· Supporting secondary duties including wrapping/strapping batteries, regen testing, or assisting with local deliveries when required

What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for someone dependable, detail-focused, and practical. The ideal candidate will have:

· Hands-on mechanical or electrical experience (battery industry experience is a plus)

· Strong attention to safety, cleanliness, and process

· The ability to follow instructions, meet deadlines, and work independently

· A neat and professional appearance

· A current driver’s licence (MR licence is a bonus)

· A current forklift licence

Experience with battery assembly, warehousing, or industrial tools is advantageous but not essential—we’re happy to train the right person.
