IT Operations Coordinator
Complete Staff Solutions in partnership with Lismore City Council
Complete Staff Solutions are seeking an experienced IT Operations Coordinator to join Lismore City Council. This hands on leadership role is responsible for managing the IT helpdesk and overseeing the day to day operations of Council’s computer networks and infrastructure. The position involves supervising IT staff, responding to operational needs, and contributing to strategic infrastructure upgrades.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Planning
Recommend and implement improvements to IT infrastructure and operations.
Maintain accurate systems documentation.
Contribute to IT strategic planning and disaster recovery efforts.
Liaise with Richmond Tweed Regional Library management and internal stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with corporate records and legislative requirements.
Operational Delivery
Oversee the delivery of a reliable IT Helpdesk and coordinate staff resources.
Manage IT operational budgets within delegated authority.
Administer and maintain:
Servers and storage infrastructure
Internet, firewall, and networking devices
Desktops, peripherals, mobile devices, and telecom equipment
Software across all systems
Support and collaborate with other IT staff at Lismore City Council.
Manage contracts and contractors related to IT operations.
Apply strong organisational and time management skills to ensure operational effectiveness.

Qualifications and Experience
Tertiary qualifications (university degree) in Information Technology or a related field
Current Class ‘C’ Driver’s Licence
Minimum of five years’ operational experience in a related field (e.g. IT operations)
Demonstrated experience supporting users in a virtualised environment
