Jaya Projects & Jaya Builds are seeking a highly experienced leading hand carpenter to step into a key role across our residential projects.

This position has opened up due to an injury on our team, and we’re looking for someone who can hit the ground running—not just to fill the gap, but to become a long-term part of the crew.

If you’ve spent years on the tools, know how to run a site, and can confidently work with clients and other staff members, this is the role for you.

About the Role:

You’ll be working on a range of residential and outdoor living projects, including outdoor areas, extensions, high-end renovations, new homes & custom builds.

You’ll be expected to lead day-to-day site operations, coordinate with clients, and maintain high-quality standards of workmanship.

Responsibilities:

Run jobs from start to finish with minimal supervision

Communicate directly with clients and uphold strong relationships

Lead apprentices and ensure quality control

Coordinate materials and manage job timelines

Maintain a clean and safe job site

Log job details and progress using company software

What You’ll Need:

Minimum 10+ years residential carpentry experience

Cert III in Carpentry

ABN and full set of tools

Reliable work vehicle (ute or van)

Strong communication and leadership skills

Ability to work independently and make confident decisions on-site

💰 Pay & Perks:

$60–$70 per hour as a sub-contractor (depending on experience)
