Working in a small team, the Development Compliance Officer role plays a crucial part in ensuring building, planning and local laws applications and the regulatory compliance of matters are delivered to an acceptable standard of public safety, health and hygiene throughout the Somerset region.

To be successful in this rewarding role, you will have:

High level interpersonal and communication skills;

Knowledge of and ability to interpret and apply legislation relating to development compliance, local laws and development applications;

Well-developed time management and organisational skills.
