Job Summary
The Audit, Compliance and Training Officer is responsible for conducting audits to ensure compliance with internal policies, industry regulations, and best practices. Additionally, the role involves developing and delivering training programs to improve staff knowledge, skills, and adherence to company standards.
Key Responsibilities
Audit Responsibilities:
Conduct regular audits of loan assessments, the hardship process, collection activities and both inbound and outbound calls across all departments to ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies. Review and analyse assessment officer submissions for accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance.
Identify errors, inconsistencies, or non-compliance issues and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
Maintain an audit checklist and grading system, ensuring transparency in evaluation processes.
Document and report audit findings to senior management, providing insights and recommendations for process improvements.
Monitor the effectiveness of implemented corrective actions and suggest further refinements if required.
Support the development of audit policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
Training Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver training programs tailored to staff needs, including compliance and role-specific development.
Maintain a training register to track completed internal and external training sessions.
Collaborate with department heads to identify training needs and design programs accordingly.
Provide coaching and feedback to staff based on audit outcomes, focusing on continuous improvement.
Assist in creating easy-to-follow training guides, manuals, and online learning materials.
Keep up-to-date with regulatory changes and ensure training materials reflect current industry standards.
Work closely with quality analysts to align training content with audit findings and business objectives.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Strong knowledge of loan assessment procedures and financial regulations in Australia.
Attention to detail with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and presentation skills for effective training delivery.
Ability to provide constructive feedback and coaching.
Experience in developing audit frameworks and training materials.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
