Additions & Alterations Carpenter / Site Foreman:

If you have extensive experience in high-end major additions and alterations for residential projects, then please enquire about this exciting role.

The successful candidate must be a hands on Foreman who has his own tools and vehicle, preferably with a carpentry background. The project is situated in Glebe and is scheduled to take approximately 12 months to complete. The project is yet to commence, so you will be started the project from scratch.

The successful candidate must be able to:

Work independently and unsupervised.

Meet site task targets in relation to daily, weekly and monthly activities.

Read plans (in depth) and implement all drawings and project documentation.

Carry out general carpentry work when and if required.

Carry our general work required for safety, when and if required.

Assist in the management of WHS / OH&S on site.

Ensure the company software app (Site Book) is used and maintained at all times by all site personnel.

Coordinate daily tasks according to priorities and plans, adjusting as necessary due to weather, supply delivery and personnel.

Complete a construction programme/schedule to ensure deadlines are met.

Lead/guide a small team, managing all trades on site, when required.

Conduct site inductions and toolbox talks.

Emphasise the safe use of tools, machinery and equipment including training on safety gear, helmets, and procedures.

Input and oversee quality standards on all sites.

Report project status to management regularly.

Complete and update Project Daily Site Diaries.

Completion of ITP’s (Inspection Test Plan).

Ensuring a huge emphasis is placed on safety at all times on all sites.

Coordinate Sub-Contractors, Suppliers and Consultants as required.

Conduct site related matters as required to meet project requirements – not limited to site cleaning, site coordination of materials, site security and safety.

Liaising with management to provide direction and support to workers so as to achieve set goals and maximise profit and efficiency.

Assisting with co-ordination, management and scheduling of particular activities to ensure that equipment and resources are efficiently utilised to meet production outcomes.
