My client a Mining Consumables privately owned business are seeking a Geotechnical Manager with 10 plus years Mining experience.

Must have excellent people skills and can mentor, manage and train Junior Engineers.

Key Accountabilities or Activities Include key measures and outputs (how the performance of the incumbent is to be objectively measured using qualitative or quantitative data).

o Lead a team in conjunction with our MD to design, refine and commercialise mining consumables (specific focus on ground support and geotechnical products)

o Full product development lifecycle experience required

o Develop and implement commercial strategies aligned with business goals and market dynamics of the products developed.

o Conduct market research to identify trends, customer requirements, and competitor activities in mining consumables

o Define product roadmaps and prioritize development initiatives based on market demand, technical feasibility, and profitability

o Geotechnical reporting inclusive of pull testing or technical reporting on trial and existing products

o Act as the subject matter expert on geotechnical applications and consumable products, providing technical guidance to internal teams, clients, and stakeholders

o Analyze product performance and customer feedback to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation

o Support field services and technical support teams in troubleshooting and optimizing product use in mining operations

Education, Qualifications, Tickets, Licences:

Bachelor Degree qualification in Engineering / Geo Sciences

Experience in mine site Technical Services team / Geotechnical knowledge
