Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, project management, and a passion for delivering top-notch construction projects safely, on time and within budget. High preference to those with experience with MRWA, PTA, Watercorp, and Western Power Assets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and oversee complex infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, and water systems.
• Interpret advanced specifications, draft and maintain detailed drawings and plans, and develop innovative construction methods and procedures
• Plan and coordinate delivery of site materials and equipment
• Conduct thorough site inspections to ensure strict adherence to advanced design specifications and safety standards.
• Collaborate effectively with head contractors, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of multifaceted projects.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources with high precision and efficiency.
• Resolve complex issues and challenges swiftly during construction.
• Conduct thorough analysis of structural systems for static and dynamic loads.
• Prepare and gain client approval for Project Specific Quality Management Plans and Construction Management Plans.
• Providing critical information to suppliers regarding specifications and scopes of work, and work management, to meet project schedules successfully.
• Assisting in steps of the tendering process including Bid evaluation, recommendation, etc.
• Develop detailed programs for coordinating site activities, ensuring efficient project progress.
• Prepare detailed cost plans and estimates to assist in budgetary control and financial management.
• Measure, value, and negotiate design variations, ensuring financial adjustments align with project needs.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil & Structural engineering or related field.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

• Highly proficient in MS Project and/or Primavera P6.

• Experience in concrete structures, formwork and steel reinforcement.

• Mandatory minimum of 5 years of experience in civil infrastructure.

• Basic understanding in various software (e.g., AutoCAD, SPACE GASS, Navisworks).

• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.

• Excellent project management and organisational skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
