The Lion & Wombat is seeking a dedicated Venue Manager to lead our talented team and provide exceptional customer experiences. Your role as Venue Manager will be crucial in overseeing daily operations and creating unforgettable dining experiences across our candle lit restaurant, front bar and lively outdoor beer garden.

Our Ideal Candidate

Well versed in all aspects of Restaurant Management and Bar Management - we are very food-led, so restaurant background will be essential.

Exceptional leadership and management - proven ability to lead, manage and motivate a diverse team, ensuring high performance and contributing to a positive work environment.

Exceptional customer experience - this is a very service heavy role so a passion for customer experiences is a must.

Experienced in all aspects of venue operations including service standards, menu costing, stock control, licensing regulation, POS systems and rostering.

Be customer experience focused - monitoring and enhancing the quality of service constantly. Foster and develop relationships with our valued locals.

Truly understand our business with the ability to follow the concept and further develop our British-themed pub.

An understanding of business and financial aspects of the business - you will be working alongside the owners to learn, develop skills around maximising revenue and profitability.

We require someone with an exceptionally strong hospitality background - minimum 3 years experience within a management role in a high volume restaurant or bar.

Will have an understanding and appreciation for British and European cuisine complimented with strong beer and wine knowledge.

Weekend and evening availability - we are open Wednesday to Sunday with Sunday being our busiest day of operations.

We have seen consistent growth and want to find a Venue Manager to lead that vision and make their mark in the Melbourne hospitality scene.
