Are you passionate about economic development, tourism and events? Kyogle Council is seeking a dynamic and driven Business and Events Officer to command our efforts in promoting our unique and diverse region and all it has to offer.
šļø What Youāll Be Doing:
As the Business and Events Officer you will:
Ā· Lead management of Councilās tourism assets including the Visitor Information Centre, Kyogle Caravan Park and Visit Kyogle website.
Ā· Develop and implement strategies, plans, projects and events to grow and diversify the economy of the Kyogle local government area including in key sectors of business, industry and tourism.
Ā· Collaborate with industry and community to identify, support and promote economic development and tourism activities and events.
Ā· Develop and implement marketing plans and strategies, media and print collateral to promote economic development and tourism events and activities and encourage visitation and participation.
Ā· Prepare grant applications and administer and acquit grants, to support economic development and tourism projects and activities.
Ā· Establish and maintain networks and engagement with key stakeholders including businesses, funding bodies, industry networks and community groups.
Ā· Assist in developing and maintaining a team culture that values performance, continuous improvement and adherence to public sector values in the delivery of high-quality services.
š„ About You:
The ideal candidate will have:
Ā· Tertiary qualification in Economics, Business, Tourism, Events Management or equivalent.
Ā· Class C Drivers Licence
