About the Role:

• Develop and deliver Capex project plans, priorities, and schedules for major works projects
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify infrastructure requirements and create Program of Minor Works Projects
• Lead onsite project teams to manage multiple minor and complex infrastructure projects
• Ensure compliance with Government Project Management frameworks, policies, and guidelines
• Foster a culture of project management excellence and best practices
• Lead a team to deliver important remits and build delivery understanding and momentum

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop complex project plans, schedules, estimates, and budgets
• Manage high-risk and high-profile project remits in a complex organisation
• Ensure strategic alignment to project priorities and outcomes

• Build and maintain strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Negotiate with and influence others on sensitive and complex issues
• Ensure effective liaison with community, local governments, and other major stakeholders

• Plan, assign, direct, supervise, and coordinate work activities of project staff
• Foster a workplace environment that values performance, continuous improvement, innovation, and integrity

• Ensure compliance with Government Project Management frameworks, policies, and guidelines
• Develop and implement robust project management methodologies and software
• Capture and share project outcomes and learnings to implement best practices

Requirements:

• Demonstrated understanding of major strategic direction and project management methodologies
• Significant experience managing multiple Capex projects and developing complex project plans
• Proven leadership skills in creating and maintaining high-performing teams
• Excellent interpersonal skills to build strategic relationships and negotiate with stakeholders
• Ability to travel frequently and possibly for extended periods
