About the Position
We are looking to welcome a Youth Worker to proactively engage, build rapport and connection, and provide time-limited complex youth work intervention to children, young people and caregivers
- Casual position.
- SCHCADS Award Level 3. $46.69 - $50.06 per hour inclusive of casual loading + super.
- Includes travel to various locations across Brisbane North and Gympie as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide time-limited intervention to high-risk children and young people in families with complex trauma.
- Work collaboratively with ISS team and other professionals and agencies to ensure the child/young person’s goals are achieved.
- Practically support and encourage school participation and relationship with educational environment.
- Follow the guidance and direction from practitioners and team leaders to ensure practical support to children and young people is achieved.

About You
- Certificate IV in a relevant discipline (youth work, community services) or studying toward a relevant tertiary qualification.
- At least two (2) years’ experience providing complex youth work to young people in a child protection context or who have experienced trauma and disruptions in attachment.
- Understanding of current child protection legislation and policy reforms.
Other Requirements
- Eligibility for a Working with Children Check or professional exemption.
- Current driver’s licence.
- Legally able work in Australia (proof of eligibility will be requested).
- Eligibility for a NDIS Worker Clearance Check.
- Willingness to travel to various locations as required.
