The Roles
We are currently hiring for the below roles in the Ipswich, Forest Lakes and South Brisbane regions.
Experienced Youth Workers & Residential Youth Workers
ProCare Australia support a number of Residential Out of Home Care providers within Queensland with Labour Hire, giving you the opportunity to work across a variety of key organisations
Experienced Youth Workers may also undertake transport and supervised family contact shifts for Children and Young People who are involved with the Department of Child Safety.
As the need and demand of the Community Services sector continues to grow, ProCare Australia are expanding their team of flexible, hard working and passionate Youth Workers. Providing trauma informed, strengths based and client-centred support to Children and Young People and their families is at the core of this role.
Shifts will be offered according to your preferences, skills and experience. Residential Youth Workers must have availability for sleepover shifts and weekend shifts.
Entry level and Emerging Youth Workers
We are currently recruiting for entry-level youth workers to support Children and Young People who are involved with the Department of Child Safety.
As an Emerging youth Worker, you will be responsible for the safe transportation of Children and Young people to attend community based activities. You will also be responsible for supervising family contact shifts. You may also be required to prepare and submit entry level case notes, and participate in any other recording or administration of documentation. Adherence to vehicle safety laws is paramount in this role.
An Emerging Youth Worker requires sound communication skills with a strong drive for helping others; in addition to emotional resilience, patience and tolerance. An Emerging Youth Worker requires the ability to adopt a common sense approach to a range of situations which may arise.

Pay Rates & Benefits
Emerging Youth Workers - rates starting from $31.60 per hour + 11.5% Super
Experienced Youth Workers - $43.08 - 53.85 per hour + 11.5% super
Night, weekend and public holiday penalty rates on top of the base rate

Locations
Toowoomba, Kingaroy, Dalby, Stanthorpe, Gatton, Warwick, Pittsworth and surrounds.
To Be Successful:
• Enrolled in a minimum Certificate IV level qualification in a Child / Youth / Community Service related field (evidence of enrollment must be provided) or hold a completed qualification in this field
• A current Blue Card
• A current National Police Check
• A current First Aid & CPR Certificate
• A vehicle with full comprehensive vehicle insurance and an Australian drivers license
• Regular availability for day and evening shifts, and weekend shifts
• An entry level of reporting skills and computer literacy
• Completed Hope and Healing Training
• A booster seat and/or infant car seat
Desirable:
• Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) trained
• COVID19 Vaccination
• Experience working with Indigenous and CALD clients
