Role Details
Join the Department for Child Protection's Legal Services team as a Lead Information Release Officer on a full-time, term basis, and play a key role in managing the release of sensitive and important information.
We're looking for someone who thrives in a busy environment, has strong attention to detail, and can confidently engage with a range of stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate responses to information requests.
In this role, you will:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including the Crown Solicitor's Office, Coroner's Court, South Australian Police, and applicants
Work closely with leadership to drive continuous improvement in how we process and release information
Manage competing priorities and large volumes of documents while meeting deadlines
Contribute to a positive team culture where wellbeing and professional development are supported
About you:
You're highly organised with excellent attention to detail, able to stay focused when reviewing and redacting large volumes of text. You have a strong understanding of relevant legislation, including the Adoptions Act 1988, Children and Young People (Safety) Act 2018, and Freedom of Information Act 1991.
You work well under pressure, managing competing tasks and tight deadlines with confidence and calm. Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team, you take pride in maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with care.
