• Newly create role for Assistant Accountant with responsibility for billing.
• Supportive team and manager, complex accounting environment.
• $48-50K per hour plus super for temp period, $75-80K plus super for permanent role. Parking available.

The organisation
$400 million Australian organisation involved in the sale of high dollar value equipment through many branches across Australia and New Zealand.

The role
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will work in a finance team of 15 in this newly created role. Your responsibilities will include:

• daily reconciliation of five bank accounts.
• preparation of daily cash flow reporting for the group.
• review and processing of high value, multi-line sales invoices, ensuring all components are correct for multiple entities in the group.
• Liaising with the branches, logistics team and finance colleagues to ensure equipment, parts, freight, repairs and accessories are correctly accounted for and invoiced.
• raising journals for accruals.
• preparation of components of the management accounts.
• special projects related to system upgrades and ad hoc operational analysis.

The candidate
In order to be successful in your application, you will:

• hold a commerce degree or Associate Diploma in Accounting.
• have experience in billing/invoicing in a complex accounting environment or have completed a similar role.
• have a confident telephone manner to gather and disseminate information.
• enjoy working with people in a team environment.
• have a car, as public transport in the area is limited.
• must be a citizen or Permanent Resident.

The rewards
During the temp to perm period of up to six months, you will enjoy an hourly rate of $48-50 per hour plus superannuation. When you transition to the permanent role, our client is offering $75-80K plus superannuation.
