ABOUT THE ROLE
St Agnes’ Catholic Parish is seeking an experienced and values-driven Recruitment Specialist to join our HR team. Based in Port Macquarie, at our administration center, this full-time role is responsible for leading end-to-end recruitment across a diverse range of services, including aged care, education, early learning and community support.
You will partner closely with hiring leaders to deliver high-quality recruitment experiences, proactively source talent, and ensure alignment with our Parish’s Mission, Values and culture. Your insight, creativity, and relationship-building skills will be key to securing the right people to serve our community now and into the future.
This role also contributes to strategic workforce projects and initiatives that support long-term growth, innovation, and employee engagement across the organisation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from job brief and advertising to interviews, contracts, pre-employment checks, and onboarding
Partner with hiring managers to develop fit-for-purpose position descriptions and values-aligned selection criteria
Deliver high-quality advice and coaching to hiring leaders on recruitment strategies and compliance
Embed the Parish’s Vision, Mission, and servant leadership principles into recruitment processes
Stay up to date with sourcing trends and implement creative strategies to attract high-quality talent
Ensure best-practice interview techniques are used and maintain consistency across selection panels
Maintain strong relationships with external agencies, suppliers and service providers
Track recruitment metrics and prepare regular reports for the Executive Manager, People
Contribute to HR projects and cross-functional activities, including support during team absences
Participate in the development and implementation of workforce and employer branding initiatives
Support a culture of continuous improvement in all recruitment and HR processes

WHO YOU ARE
Tertiary qualifications in HR, Business or a related discipline (or relevant equivalent experience)
Proven experience in high-quality, full-cycle recruitment across varied role types
Strong understanding of relevant employment legislation and HR best practice
A customer-focused, responsive approach to service delivery
Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment
Creativity in problem solving and talent sourcing
Commitment to work in harmony with Catholic Values and Principles
