The Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented, motivated, and adaptable Building Cadet to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with our Project Manager to support the successful delivery of our commercial new build & fit out construction projects. Your responsibilities will include assisting with site operations, managing project documentation, and coordinating various tasks to ensure smooth project execution. The ideal candidate will be a quick learner with a positive attitude, strong attention to detail, and excellent organisational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with updating project documentation, maintaining registers, and filing records according to project protocols.

Support procurement by preparing purchase orders, liaising with suppliers, and tracking quotes and delivery schedules.

Attend site meetings, take minutes, assist with logistics and deliveries, and help conduct inspections under supervision.

Contribute to quantity take-offs, gather pricing information, and assist with tracking variations and costs.

Help monitor construction programmes, coordinate with subcontractors and consultants, and assist with compliance documentation.

Participate in training and mentoring, shadow project and site managers, and develop knowledge of codes and construction methods.

Assist in preparing QA and safety documents, support safety compliance monitoring, and report hazards or incidents.

What we are looking for:

A recent graduate or current student in a relevant field such as Construction Management, Project Management, or Engineering.

Experience in a previous role within the construction Industry is desirable.

Strong communication and organisational skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop within the construction industry.

Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.

Driver's licence and access to a car preferred.
