REPORTS TO: Director of Administration
HOURS OF WORK: 30.4 hours per week (minimum) permanent part time
Sunshine Beach Surf Lifesaving Club (SBSLSC) are seeking a highly organised and proactive Lifesaving Club Administrator to support our members and Board, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of club operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Member Support
Be the friendly, professional first point of contact for members and visitors.
Manage member renewals, transfers, new memberships, and the Point of Entry system.
Support member development and coordinate the Active Club Event Calendar.
Database & Records Management
Maintain and update club databases, including SLSA Surfguard and Members Portal.
Keep accurate electronic records, manage user access, and ensure compliance with club policies.
Assist with Nipper registrations and maintain up-to-date lists.
Communication & Correspondence
Manage club communications (phone, email, newsletters, social media).
Coordinate Board correspondence and distribute promotional material.
Support club events and special functions.
Grants
Maintain a register of potential grant-funded items and opportunities.
Identify and secure grants, providing regular updates to the Board.
Reporting & Compliance
Prepare monthly admin and membership reports.
Assist with compliance checks, Blue Card applications, and club documentation.
Support AGM and special meeting preparations and coordinate the Annual Report.
Training & Education
Support training course administration and compliance with relevant frameworks.
Promote training opportunities and maintain training records.
Lifesaving Support
Assist with patrol rosters, uniform management, and maintaining accurate records of gear and equipment.
Provide ongoing support to Lifesaving and Youth & Cadet Directors.
General
· Any other duties as required to meet the ongoing needs of SBSLSC
About You
You are a skilled administrator with a passion for community and volunteer-based organisations. You thrive in a dynamic environment, are highly organised, and have excellent communication skills. You understand (or are keen to learn about) the unique operations of surf lifesaving clubs.
Key Attributes:
Advanced administration skills, including Microsoft Office proficiency.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent time management and organisational abilities.
Ability to work with a diverse range of stakeholders, including volunteers.
Demonstrated understanding of surf lifesaving club operations (or willingness to learn).
Experience with club management software (Surfguard, SLSA Members Portal, aXcelerate) highly regarded.
Current Working with Children Blue Card (or ability to obtain).

Our Club
The Surf Club Sunshine Beach enjoys unparalleled views of the coast from its position set above beautiful Sunshine Beach and is only 2kms from central Noosa.
