About the Role

As a key member of the Finance and Operations Team, the ambitious and dynamic jobholder will have wide responsibility over the financial accounting of the OneVentures fund entities and corporate entities. OneVentures is a rapidly growing business with a flat management structure where talented individuals are given the opportunity to grow and develop. The role will report to the Head of Fund Finance.

Key Responsibilities

Funds

Reporting to the Head of Fund Finance, the jobholder will have day to day responsibility for the

financial management of several OneVentures funds and co-investments. This will include:

Ensuring that capital calls and distributions are accurately issued

Preparation of month end / quarter end / annual investor reporting

Ensuring that non-routine fund transactions, including new investments, are properly recorded

Processing of new investors and investor transfers

Preparation of quarterly ATO reporting

The jobholder will also be responsible for various other aspects of the reporting for OneVentures funds, including:

Preparation of FACTA / CRS annual reporting

Preparation of ESVCLP quarterly and annual reporting

Assisting in the annual audit of the funds and preparation of the fund financial statements

Annual tax reporting requirements of the funds, including AIIR preparation and review of annual tax returns

Preparation of annual tax holding statements for the funds and co-investments, including AMMA statements for the relevant AMIT entities

Assisting in the preparation and update of portfolio company returns analysis

Corporate

While the bulk of the role will be focused on management of the funds, the jobholder will be expected to support the Corporate Controller in relation to the OneVentures corporate business, including:

Preparation of the relevant monthly calculations and returns required to satisfy ASIC regulatory requirements

Assisting in the annual audit of two of the corporate entities and preparation of financial statements

Preparation of quarterly ATO reporting

What We’re Looking For
Candidates must demonstrate excellent technical competence, effective communication skills with stakeholders of all levels and strong commercial awareness.

Specific requirements include:

4+ years of experience either at a Big 4/second tier accounting practice, venture capital/private equity firm, investment bank or fund administrator

Membership of the ICAANZ or CPA

Experience working with clients in or within the asset management sector, ideally with an alternatives focus, would be advantageous

A strong interest in and commercial awareness of the Venture Capital industry

An ability to work with stakeholders across senior and junior levels

Experience of working with different accountancy and investor register packages in the asset management sector would be advantageous
