THE OPPORTUNITY

We are currently looking for a MicroStation SMP Design Drafter to work on innovative minerals processing and mining projects. You will be focusing on creating detailed 3D mechanical and piping designs, ensuring compliance with Australian standards, and collaborating with stakeholders and sub-contractors.

This is a Brisbane based role working Monday to Friday with flexible work opportunities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Producing detailed 3D Mechanical / Piping design models and drawings

Preparing and delivering plant layout and design documents

Contributing to technical meetings and design reviews

Ensuring designs comply with required Australia standards

Liaising with stakeholders and external sub-contractors when required

SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Experience in a similar role within the mining or heavy industry

Proven experience in design software such as MicroStation is essential

Materials handling experience within the heavy industry is essential

Strong communication skills

Problem solving ability and strong attention to detail

Relevant Trade Qualification or Cert III in Computer Aided Drafting is preferable
