We’re seeking a proactive and practical individual to support our growing Design & Technology team in delivering engaging and hands-on learning experiences for students in Years 7–12.

About the Role:

Bundaberg Christian College is currently seeking a Design & Technology Teacher Aide to join our Middle and Senior School. This full-time, term-time role involves providing practical support in our modern workshop facilities. You’ll assist teaching staff with lesson preparation, tool and equipment maintenance, and classroom demonstrations, while helping create a safe and inspiring learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist D&T teachers during practical classes and demonstrations

Maintain and prepare tools, materials, and machinery

Perform basic cleaning and workshop organisation

Manage inventory and stock ordering

Support WHS compliance through routine safety checks

Liaise with external trades and suppliers as needed.

About You:

You’re a hands-on, detail-oriented individual with a heart for service and a commitment to Christian values. You enjoy working in a team and are confident operating in an industrial or workshop setting.

The successful applicant will:

Demonstrate an active Christian faith aligned with the College’s Statement of Faith

Be experienced in industrial, trade, or workshop environments

Understand WHS practices in school or technical settings

Be well-organised, proactive, and relational in their approach

Be able to support student engagement with patience and care.
