We’re looking for a warm, reliable and grounded support worker to join our team in Greenwith, providing 1:1 support to a young adult with Down Syndrome.
This long-standing client thrives with consistency, gentle encouragement, and structure. You’ll play a key role in helping him build confidence, independence, and life skills through everyday routines, community outings, and social connection.
This role is ideal for students or early-career professionals in Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Disability or Education who are looking to gain meaningful experience and make a real impact.
What You’ll Be Doing
Supporting a young adult with emotional regulation, communication, and social skills
Providing community access support (e.g. attending outings, activities, structured routines)
Building rapport and encouraging confidence and independence
Collaborating with family and the Assist team to ensure consistent, person-centred care
What We’re Looking For
Calm, kind, and emotionally mature approach
Experience with (or strong interest in) working with individuals with intellectual disability
Great communicator and reliable team member
Currently studying or recently completed studies in OT, Psychology, Disability, or a related field (preferred but not essential)
Valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle
Current WWCC and NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
