About the role

Equity Support Group is seeking a Disability Support Worker to join our team in Northfield, SA 5085. This is a casual role, providing essential support to individuals with disabilities in our local community. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital part in enhancing the quality of life for our clients and helping them achieve their personal goals.

What you'll be doing

Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks

Accompanying and supporting clients during social and recreational activities in the community

Implementing individualised support plans to promote client independence, health, and wellbeing

Maintaining detailed records and documentation to ensure high-quality care

Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate client services

Advocating for client rights and providing emotional support

What we're looking for

Relevant qualifications or experience in the aged care or disability support sector

A genuine passion for making a positive difference in the lives of people with disabilities

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with clients

Patience, empathy, and a commitment to promoting client independence and dignity

Ability to work collaboratively within a team and follow established policies and procedures

A clean driving record and access to reliable transportation
