Senior Talent Specialist, SafeWork NSW - Multiple positions available
- Branch and Division: SafeWork NSW People and Corporate Services
- Grade: Clerk Grade 9/10, base salary for this role starting at $125,693 base plus superannuation
- Location: Sydney, Parramatta, Gosford - flexible hybrid arrangement with the expectation for 3 days per week in nominated office

About the team
SafeWork NSW is looking for a motivated Senior Talent Specialist and Senior Talent Acquisition Lead, to steer a newly established team in delivering contemporary, customer-focused talent acquisition solutions. You'll be responsible for optimising the attraction and acquisition of talent to support a high-performance workforce.
This is an exciting opportunity to manage talent acquisition services, develop policies and processes, and implement solutions that align with SafeWork NSW's strategic goals. You'll work closely with management and staff to provide expert advice and support effective talent acquisition practices across the agency.
Your day-to-day
In this role, you will:
- Manage the delivery of talent acquisition services including candidate attraction, selection, assessment, and management.
- Identify, develop, implement, and review talent resourcing policies and processes.
- Provide expert advice, coaching, and support to management and staff on talent acquisition methodologies.
- Manage work planning, coaching, and professional development initiatives.
- Maintain strong customer and team relationships to ensure services meet needs.
- Undertake research, monitor, review, and analyse talent acquisition services.
- Manage projects and oversee all aspects of the project cycle.
- Maintain awareness of relevant issues, policy obligations, and industry trends.
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:
- Expertise in talent acquisition and workforce programs.
- A strategic and solution-focused mindset.
- Strong leadership skills to inspire and manage a high-performing team.
- The confidence to partner with executives and lead complex initiatives.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience in managing organisational change and workforce strategy is highly desirable.
