ABOUT THE COMPANY
My client is a well-established, privately owned Australian business that supplies essential packaging products and machinery to manufacturing, warehousing, and logistics customers.
They’ve been around for over 20 years and are known for being reliable, easy to deal with, and committed to great service. Their gear is used every day across a range of industries—helping businesses keep their goods secure, their operations efficient, and their supply chains moving.
You won’t be stuck in a corporate machine here. You’ll be part of a tight-knit team, trusted to run your own patch and backed by people who actually know the products.
THE ROLE
This is a hands-on sales role where you’ll be out on the road building relationships, solving problems, and helping customers choose the right packaging solutions for their operations.
Your time will be spent visiting warehouses, factories, and distribution centres—checking in with existing customers, following up leads, quoting jobs, and keeping projects moving. You’ll also be growing your patch, looking for new business and building lasting partnerships.
A typical week might involve:
Visiting a warehouse to demo a strapping tool
Recommending a better stretch film for a tricky load
Quoting a packaging solution for a new production line
Catching up with the team to sort stock and deliveries
Following up leads and locking in new orders
There’s a mix of hunting and account management here—plenty of room to grow your customer base while looking after long-term clients.
WHAT THEY SELL
You’ll be representing a solid range of industrial packaging products, including:
Steel and plastic strapping
Strapping tools and automated machines
Pallet wrapping films and equipment
Protective packaging and consumables
Tapes, seals, and everyday warehouse supplies
This is the kind of gear your customers use every day. They care about quality, service, and having someone they can trust to keep things running smoothly—that’s where you come in.
ABOUT YOU
You’re someone who knows how to build rapport with warehouse managers, production teams, and business owners. You’ve probably worked in or around industrial products and understand what matters on the floor.
Ideally, you have:
Sales or business development experience
Exposure to packaging, tools, or similar products
Confidence recommending practical solutions
Strong follow-up and organisational skills
A hands-on, curious mindset—you ask questions and find answers
You don’t need a degree in engineering—just the ability to hold a smart, no-fuss conversation and get the job done.
