Li-S Energy is seeking a Production Operator to join our growing team. As part of a well-funded, ASX-listed Australian technology company, you'll play a vital role in developing world-leading battery technology. You'll be at the forefront manufacturing our next-generation lithium sulfur and lithium metal battery cells in our state-of-the-art facility. The opportunity

The preferred candidate will play a key role in producing next-generation lithium-sulfur battery cells. Based at our purpose-built pilot production facility in Waurn Ponds, this hands-on role involves operating advanced manufacturing equipment and contributing directly to the development of cutting-edge clean energy technology. You’ll report to the Production Manager and work closely with a collaborative team focused on driving innovation and delivering high-performance outcomes.

Responsibilities

Operation of Lithium foil extrusion / lamination / rolling equipment and various other battery fabrication equipment including within a dry-room environment

Preparation of electrodes and other raw materials in co-located facilities

Monitoring and reviewing key production equipment for performance and output quality

Safe handling of materials and operating systems in accordance with company OH&S policies and SOPs

Working as a key part of a growing team, including research scientists, engineers and production specialists

The successful candidate will have:

Experience working in manufacturing and/or production environments

Ability to operate complex equipment in a pilot or development environment

Aptitude for mechanical repairs and hands on practical experience

Ability to identify product and/or equipment issues to ensure production meets quality standards.

Understanding of safety procedures for handling hazardous materials.

A current drivers licence essential

A current first aid certificate and forklift licence are desirable (but not essential)

Physical requirements:

Ability to lift up to 20kg and work in various positions, including bending, and standing for extended periods

Comfortable working in environments of ultra-low humidity with occasional exposure to heat, and noise

General Aptitude

Great problem-solving skills with an approach to continuous improvement.

The ability to listen and carefully follow both written procedures and verbal directions is essential.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and technically demanding environment.
