About the Role

Reporting to the management team, we are seeking a Purchasing Officer to undertake purchasing activities and maintain inventory. This includes:

• Sourcing quotes, purchasing products and raising purchase orders
• Selecting, maintaining and approving suppliers based on capability, performance and price.
• Approving supplier invoices for payment.
• Ensuring inventory/stock levels are maintained
• Conducting regular stocktakes
• Providing advice in relation to suppliers, prices, quality, lead times.
• Adjusting order quantities and adjust min/max levels to current sales data and history
• Oversee and check incoming Inventory related invoices and documents
• Book and track incoming and transfer freight

Candidate requirements:

• Experience in inventory management, purchasing, or supply chain.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to analyse data and make informed purchasing decisions.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

You will also enjoy learning about the products, processes, materials and components of a fast paced, specialist field of manufacturing, fabrication and technical assembly.

Previous experience within a manufacturing environment desirable (but not essential).
