Celeste Catering is a national hospitality company providing high-quality catering across Melbourne, Sydney, and Perth. In Victoria, we’ve partnered exclusively with a leading network of funeral homes – helping families mark life’s most meaningful moments with care, respect, and excellent service.
We’re now looking for a hands-on Catering Manager to take the lead across our funeral home venues in Victoria. This role is all about making sure every event runs smoothly, that our customers feel supported, and that every detail is just right – from the food and setup to the people and presentation.
In this role you will report to the Regional Manager and work very closely with the executive team.

What You’ll Be Doing
Customer Service & Quality Control
Make sure every funeral event is delivered to a high standard – respectful, polished, and seamless
Keep a close eye on quality: food presentation, staff service, venue setup – nothing gets missed
Follow up quickly on any issues, feedback or requests to ensure every family feels looked after
Regularly visit venues and events to check everything is on-brand and up to scratch
Event Operations
Oversee the day-to-day catering service across all funeral homes in Victoria
Coordinate teams, manage logistics and help resolve any challenges on the ground
Step in to support busy sites when needed – whether it’s a big day or a last-minute request
Help things run like clockwork – especially when emotions are high and timing really matters
Relationship Building
Be the go-to person for Funeral Home Managers and their teams across all locations
Build strong working relationships based on trust, reliability, and clear communication
Run regular check-ins to gather feedback and look for ways to improve or grow
Leading the Team
Lead, support and inspire a team of coordinators, service staff, and delivery crew
Help with hiring, onboarding and training – making sure every team member represents Celeste proudly
Set clear expectations around service and quality – and make sure teams are well prepared and resourced
Venue & Equipment Management
Keep kitchenettes, lounges and catering areas well presented, functional and safe
Organise maintenance or upgrades when needed and make sure venues are always ready for service
Ensure all equipment is clean, working and fit for purpose
What You’ll Need
Strong experience in hospitality, catering or events – especially in a multi-site or customer-facing role
A sharp eye for detail and a real sense of pride in doing things properly
Calm and confident under pressure, with a natural ability to lead and support others
Strong people skills – great with clients, team members, and everyone in between
Good commercial understanding – rostering, invoicing and general business operations
