💰 Salary: $75,000 – $85,000 + Monthly Performance Bonus (post-probation)

Jack Gray Café is a beloved community café that was once proudly ranked among the Top 20 Cafés in Sydney—and remains one of the most popular and highly rated cafés in the Sutherland Shire. Known for its premium coffee, wholesome seasonal food, and welcoming local vibe, Jack Gray is now entering a new era.

From mid-June, the café will be under new ownership. The new owners bring extensive hospitality experience across both FOH and BOH and have an exciting vision to elevate Jack Gray to its full potential—including reviving lunch service, launching dinners, and introducing a vibrant bar and beverage offering.

We’re now looking for a passionate and driven Venue Manager to take the reins and help lead this transformation—someone who wants to treat this café like their own and build something truly special.

✨ What You’ll Be Doing:

Lead and oversee daily operations across both front and back of house

Train, inspire and manage a team of baristas, kitchen staff, and floor crew

Oversee recruitment, rostering, onboarding, and performance reviews

Manage supplier relationships, ordering, stock, and cost control

Ensure full compliance with WHS, RSA, and food safety standards

Work closely with ownership to implement growth strategies and elevate the guest experience

Handle guest feedback and deliver high-quality service recovery

Maintain daily POS and financial reporting with accuracy

Drive profitability through smart labour and cost management

✅ About You:

Experienced Venue Manager or Supervisor in a fast-paced café or casual dining environment

Natural leader with strong communication and team management skills

Detail-oriented, proactive, and calm under pressure

Passionate about hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences

In-depth knowledge of food safety, WHS and RSA regulations

Tech-savvy with experience using POS and rostering software

RSA certification (NSW) required
