Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Estimator / Project Coordinator to join us during this exciting early-growth stage. This is a unique opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is ready to step into a leadership role. You’ll manage a team of estimators/project engineers, complete estimating packages based on diverse client needs, and support project coordination for select clients post-tender.
Working directly with the Director, you'll have clear visibility into the company’s operations and the opportunity to grow into a senior leadership role. This role offers significant flexibility and autonomy once systems and workflows are understood.
Key Responsibilities
Estimating
Oversee and lead a small team of estimators, ensuring quality and timeliness of deliverables
Personally complete detailed cost estimates across a range of project types and sizes
Analyse drawings, specifications, and scope to develop comprehensive estimates
Coordinate pricing from subcontractors and suppliers
Tailor estimating packages to suit various client formats and expectations
Implement and improve estimating systems and tools as the company grows
Project Coordination
Assist select clients post-tender with project startup, scheduling, procurement, and communication
Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and suppliers to ensure smooth project handovers
Track progress, maintain documentation, and support project delivery where required

Proven experience in construction estimating (plus, if you have project coordination experience)
Strong leadership skills or desire to grow into a team management role
High attention to detail, with a thorough and methodical work style
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Self-motivated, adaptable, and open to learning
Comfortable working in a startup-style environment with evolving systems
