We are seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join a well-respected not-for-profit school based in Ringwood East. This temporary role requires someone with prior education sector experience to manage end-to-end payroll and ensure compliance with relevant awards and legislation.

Description

• Process accurate and timely payroll for all employees in accordance with organisational policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with relevant tax, superannuation, and workplace legislation.
• Maintain and update employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, and salary adjustments.
• Respond promptly to payroll-related enquiries from staff and management.
• Assist with preparing payroll reports and reconciliations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with the Accounting & Finance team to ensure proper integration of payroll data.
• Identify and resolve payroll discrepancies in a timely and effective manner.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the payroll function.

Profile

A successful Payroll Officer should have:

• Previous experience in payroll processing, preferably within the Education space
• Strong understanding of Australian payroll legislation, tax, and superannuation requirements.
• Proficiency in SYNERGETIC and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
