The Opportunity:

As the Director of Offensive Cybersecurity, you will be instrumental in leading, building, and expanding Cybertify's Offensive Security practice. You will oversee all penetration testing, red teaming, social engineering, and CORIE resilience testing engagements. Your role will involve driving strategic growth, enhancing service delivery, and ensuring our Elite Cyber Squad continues to deliver rapid, effective, and compliance-driven adversarial simulations for our diverse, regulated clientele.

What You'll Do:

Strategic Leadership: Define and execute the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Cybertify's Offensive Security service offerings, setting new benchmarks for quality and innovation.

Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and grow a team of highly skilled offensive security professionals (penetration testers, red teamers, social engineers), fostering a culture of excellence, continuous learning, and adversarial thinking.

Practice Management: Oversee the operational delivery of all offensive security engagements, ensuring high-quality outcomes, client satisfaction, and adherence to agile methodologies.

Technical Oversight: Provide expert guidance and oversight on complex engagements, including advanced red team operations, sophisticated penetration tests (web, mobile, internal/external network, wireless, IoT, hardware), and social engineering campaigns.

Service Enhancement: Continuously evolve and refine offensive security methodologies, tools, and processes, incorporating cutting-edge attack techniques and threat intelligence.

Business Development: Collaborate with the leadership team on business development activities, including proposal writing, client presentations, and showcasing Cybertify's offensive capabilities to C-level executives and boards.

Client Advisory: Act as a trusted advisor to C-level executives and boards, translating complex technical findings into actionable business risks and providing strategic insights on enhancing overall cyber resilience.

Market Intelligence: Stay ahead of emerging attack vectors, threat actor TTPs, and industry best practices in offensive security.

Quality Assurance: Ensure all offensive security deliverables meet Cybertify's unwavering commitment to quality, precision, and ethical hacking standards.

What You'll Bring (Your Elite Cyber Squad Leadership Credentials):

10+ years of progressive experience in offensive cybersecurity (penetration testing, red teaming, vulnerability research), with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or management role within a consulting firm or enterprise security team.

Demonstrated success in building, leading, and scaling high-performing offensive security teams and practices.

Deep, hands-on expertise across a broad range of offensive security domains, including application security, network exploitation, cloud penetration testing, and social engineering.

Extensive experience with advanced red teaming methodologies and intelligence-led attack simulations, including CORIE Resilience Testing for financial institutions.

Exceptional strategic thinking coupled with a strong understanding of technical details and operational execution.

Proven ability to interact and influence at executive and board levels, articulating complex cybersecurity risks and the value of proactive adversarial testing.

Strong knowledge of global and Australian regulatory frameworks (e.g., Essential Eight, ISO 27001, APRA CPS 234, PCI DSS) and how offensive security contributes to compliance and assurance.

Relevant offensive security certifications (e.g., OSCE, OSWE, OSEE, OSCP, CREST CRT/CCT, SANS GXPN, CCSAS, CSSAP) are highly desirable.

Outstanding communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

A proactive, agile mindset with a passion for innovation and pushing the boundaries of cyber security.

Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency is a mandatory requirement.
