About the role

FGI Developments is seeking an experienced Civil Supervisor to join our team in Darwin, Northern Territory. This is a full-time role that will play a crucial part in overseeing and coordinating civil construction projects. As the Civil Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing a team of skilled workers, ensuring the successful delivery of projects to the highest quality standards.

What you'll be doing

Supervise and coordinate the work of a team of civil construction workers, including carpenters, concreters, and labourers

Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with project plans, specifications, and safety regulations

Monitor progress and productivity, and implement strategies to address any issues or delays

Liaise with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration

Provide on-site training and mentoring to team members to develop their skills and knowledge

Maintain accurate records and documentation related to the project

Identify and address any safety concerns or risks on the worksite

What we're looking for

Minimum 5 years of experience as a Civil Supervisor or in a similar supervisory role within the construction industry

Strong understanding of Civil Machinery and Trimble UTS/GPS

Strong understanding of civil construction techniques, materials, and equipment

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a team

Proficient in reading and interpreting construction plans and specifications

Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations and the ability to ensure compliance

Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

Qualifications in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field would be highly regarded
