About the role

We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join our team at FGI Developments' in Darwin, Northern Territory. As a Civil Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the delivery of our infrastructure projects, contributing to the growth and development of the local community.
This is a full-time position based on our Darwin sites.

What you'll be doing

Responsible for the planning, and implementation of civil engineering projects, including roads, drainage systems, concrete structures and other infrastructure

Conduct site inspections, assess project feasibility, and provide technical expertise to project stakeholders

Prepare detailed reports to support project delivery

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, and construction specialists, to ensure the successful completion of projects

Monitor project progress, identify and mitigate risks, and recommend solutions to address challenges

Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards

Provide mentorship and guidance to more junior members of the engineering team

What we're looking for

Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is a must

Minimum 5 years of experience in civil engineering, preferably in the delivery of infrastructure projects

Strong technical skills in areas such as structural analysis and project management

Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams

Familiarity with local building codes, regulations, and safety standards

Demonstrated experience in project management, including the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver projects on time and within budget
