About the role

As ICT Project Manager you will be part of the ICT PMO Team and responsible for delivering successful projects to business areas across council. Your main focus will be to manage the planning, delivery and closure of initiatives, underpinned by good practice and a collaborative approach, to ensure project outcomes are achieved.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Manage projects from inception to transition according to endorsed methodologies and utilising internal standards and processes
  • Lead and manage multidisciplinary resources to successfully deliver projects that include product owners, testing and assurance, business analysis and organisational change
  • Develop, maintain, and communicate project plans, underpinned by good practice and agile principles, including schedules, budgets, resources, risks, issues, benefits and stakeholders
  • Develop and control project budgets, undertaking monthly re-forecasting, and managing expenditure within agreed spending plans
    Schedule, review, monitor and evaluate project progress and provide reports to key stakeholders and project governance bodies
  • Prepare procurement documentation and undertake vendor and contract management required for the delivery of projects

About you

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Graduate or post-graduate qualifications in a project management discipline OR be pursuing such qualifications OR substantial proven experience within project management
  • Extensive experience in establishing and delivering projects in a dynamic, complex public sector environment
  • Exceptional communication, engagement and influencing skills with the ability to remain composed and calm
  • Strategic thinking, research, and critical evaluation skills, and understanding of business case development and program and project management methodologies
  • High level of skill in the development and management of project schedules, budgets, reports, resource plans
  • Knowledge of the systems delivery lifecycle and proven experience in the configuration, testing and deployment of applications and systems integration
  • Demonstrated experience in leading a multidisciplinary project team

This is a permanent full-time position, with a salary in the range of $127,359 to $143,707 plus 12.5% superannuation.
