Pinnacle People is proud to partner with one of Australia's leading global packaged food and hand held snack suppliers to the airline industry in the search for their next Product Innovation and Development Manager. This full time Brisbane based role is responsible for new product development, recipe development and testing quality control, and the management of the product portfolio for Australia. Your will oversee procurement and pricing, develop maintain relationships with key manufacturers and suppliers and manage the upscale process for product manufacturing.

What you'll be doing

Drive the strategic development plans for the established food categories - hot hand held snacks, cheese, and baked goods

Formulate the pipeline for new product innovation

Actively manage the product development process from initial concept, through recipe development, scalability and delivery to partner manufacturer for production, ensuring timelines and targets are met

Lead the successful launch of new products

Work closely with the technical team ensure quality assurance and continuous product consistency

What we're looking for

Executive chef level experience with a background in food manufacturing

Demonstrated experience in quick service ready to eat and packaged product development for mass production

A creative and innovative passion for food and a keen ability to identify and capitalise on industry trends and opportunities

Project management skills, a problem solving mindset, and the ability to work nimbly

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret market data and customer insights

Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities

Previous food related experience in the airline industry a bonus
