Regional Development Australia (RDA) Central West is a locally based committee funded by the Australian Government and part of a national network of 52 independent, not-for-profit organisations committed to promoting economic development across regional Australia.
RDA Central West is seeking a dynamic Stakeholder Engagement Officer with strong experience in communications and stakeholder relations to support the CEO.
This role offers the opportunity to work in a positive and collaborative team environment that values strategic thinking, creativity, and innovation. A key part of the role involves managing relationships with stakeholder organisations through traditional and social media channels and supporting existing RDA CW projects. Experience with social media will be highly regarded.
This is a rewarding and varied role that provides the chance to engage with a broad range of stakeholders across government, business, and the community, and to contribute meaningfully to the growth and development of the Central West region.
Key Responsibilities
Support all media, industry, and community engagement activities for RDA Central West projects, including traditional and social media and managing RDA CWs stakeholder database.
Assist in the planning and delivery of RDA CW Projects.
Support the CEO project design and delivery.
Build and maintain industry partnerships aligned with RDA Central West’s mission and vision.
Help identify economic development initiatives that provide local solutions to local challenges.
Assist with negotiating external contractor arrangements, with support from the CEO.
Engage with regional stakeholders and support funding-related activities.
Assist the CEO in preparing Board reports and responses to government inquiries as needed.
Position Details
Part-time: Minimum 0.6 FTE (3 days/21 hours per week), with flexibility to increase hours for the right candidate.
Contract: Initial 24-month term, with potential for extension.
