Your New Role
Catholic Education Diocese of Wagga Wagga (CEDWW) People and Culture is a shared service of the Wagga Wagga Diocese system of 24 Primary Schools, 5 Secondary Schools, 2 Boarding Houses and a central office. The Health, Safety and Wellbeing Business Partner has a key role in the People and Culture Team, whose purpose is to “build capacity that makes a difference” with trademark behaviours of Professional, United and Empowering, and that is precisely how you will find us to be. The Health, Safety and Wellbeing Business Partner forms part of the People and Culture team to provide advice and continuously improve on and support CEDWWs Work Health and Safety Management System and staff wellbeing framework. You will work closely with our stakeholders to promote a safe and healthy work environment and a proactive safety management culture.

Salary: Grade 7 $96,160.49 - $130,179.06 excluding superannuation (dependent upon experience and qualifications)
Essential Criteria
Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a health and safety role.
Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing, and reviewing a Work Health and Safety Management System.
Demonstrated ability to analyse, interpret and apply legislation, standards, policies and procedures.
In-depth knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation and associated Codes of Practice.
Demonstrated ability to deliver quality customer service, contribute to improvements and influence change.
Demonstrated capability in developing, conducting and reporting on Work Health and Safety audits.
Ability to work collaboratively within a professional team environment and independently.
Highly developed communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills, including sound conflict resolution and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage across multiple stakeholders and simplify complex information for the end user.
Demonstrated experience advising and influencing managers and leaders, including the ability to support and challenge as required.
Advanced computer software skills.
Qualifications in Work Health and Safety and/or extensive practical work history.
Class C Driver’s Licence.
NSW Working with Children Check
Successful Candidate to undertake a National Criminal History Check
Accreditation for Support Staff in a Catholic School (Category A, Accreditation to Work Teach and Lead in Systemic Catholic Schools, Catholic Education Diocese of Wagga Wagga) or willing to achieve.
